Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) – Alice Springs Airport

The main focus of the ARO role is to contribute to the safe operation of the airport through inspecting and interpreting the condition of the runway and surrounding airside area – complete reports and monitor the results.

We are looking for a person who can work independently and have the ability to manage the day to day safety, environment and security aspects of the airport in accordance with regulations. You will be required to respond to aerodrome and terminal emergencies and have effective communications with all stakeholders.

You may already be working in or around an airport and are ready to take the next step in your career. Experience or knowledge in CASA and other relevant aviation legislation, aerodrome emergency planning, airside and terminal operations will be an advantage.

The Alice Springs Airport is seeking a motivated and competent maintenance groundsperson to join their team. The responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Undertaking repairs and general maintenance,

  • Mowing and general ground care,

  • Operation of plant and equipment,

  • Ability to contribute to the team and be able to work independently when required,

  • Physically fit, enthusiastic and with a “can do” attitude.


Ideally you will have a trade or be an experienced handyman who enjoys the outdoors and is comfortable working on the land.


You will have the potential to learn the Airport Reporting Officer role that will provide a career path for your future. Full training will be available.
