Alice Springs Airport is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join their team in the role of Security & Compliance Officer.

Reporting to the Operations Manager this critical role is responsible for effective coordination of the day to day matters for aviation security and WHS functions in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.  You will provide high quality, effective and efficient compliance support to the team to meet CASA, OTS and NT Worksafe requirements.

If you are very driven and outcomes focused, understand the importance of compliance and can be a problem solving team member, this could be the dream role for you.  You’ll need excellent communication skills, common sense, as well as a sense of urgency and an understanding of compliance requirements.  Having an excellent working knowledge of IT systems (ie Word, Excel) is a must.  If you are looking for a valued role, and feel you have the desired skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) / Grounds person

This role will integrate two roles – the first being a Groundsperson and the second that of an ARO. You could already be trained as an ARO or we will assist in you gaining the skills.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist with carrying out the day to day maintenance of airport grounds infrastructure at Alice Springs Airport and at Tennant Creek Airport (on occasion).

Ensuring relevant safety, security and environmental Regulations comply in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The responsibilities include but not limited to undertaking repairs and general maintenance, mowing and general ground care, operation of plant and equipment. The ability to work independently, communicate effectively with stakeholders and respond to aerodrome and terminal emergencies.

Experience or knowledge in CASA and other relevant aviation legislation, aerodrome emergency planning, airside and terminal operations will be an advantage.
